Folks, we are living in historic times. As I sat in the studio today on Brannon House Live, joined by Colonel Rob Maness, we dove into the unfolding drama between Israel and Iran—a conflict that has the world holding its breath. The stakes couldn’t be higher, not just for the Middle East but for America and, I believe, for the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. As I said on the broadcast, “It’s amazing what Israel is doing on their own.” But the question remains: Should America get involved, and what does this moment mean for our nation and God’s plan?
Let me be clear, as I’ve been saying consistently: I don’t want to see American boots on the ground or our bombers in the skies over Iran. “I don’t mind if we sell them weaponry… I don’t mind if we give them intelligence. I don’t mind if we even have to knock down a few incoming ballistic missiles every now and then. But I would prefer to see them do this on their own.” Israel is proving itself a formidable force, and Colonel Maness echoed this sentiment, noting, “This is the most effective air campaign that’s been run since the United States ran the Desert Storm air campaign against Saddam Hussein.” Israel’s precision, owning the airspace over Tehran, and striking nuclear sites and missile facilities show they don’t need Uncle Sam to hold their hand.
Why do I want Israel to finish this alone? For one, it’s about peace through strength—Israel’s strength. As Colonel Maness pointed out, “They own the airspace, and I don’t think it’s fair to say that they’re doing this completely on their own because… we’re providing intelligence, we’re providing air defense.” But beyond the tactical, there’s a bigger picture. I told our audience, “I think it’s setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled, for Israel to be seen as a massive superpower for the whole world to see and recognize.” Ezekiel 38 and 39, as many of you know, speak of a coalition of nations forming against Israel. Could this be the moment when Israel’s dominance prompts such a response? I’ll be asking Dr. Woods later tonight, but I believe we’re watching prophecy unfold before our eyes.
Now, let’s talk about what’s happening on the ground in Iran. The people are rising up, and it’s inspiring. “We’ve been getting a lot of pictures of the folks… Gals taking off their hijabs, giving the freeway wave, if you will, middle finger to the pictures of Khomeini. We’ve seen videos of the people chanting about him, wanting him gone.” Israel’s attack on the Sepah headquarters, the regime’s tool for crushing protests, is giving the Iranian people a chance to breathe free. And then there’s Crown Prince Pahlavi, the Shah’s son, who’s talking about a plan to lead Iran forward. Colonel Maness raised a critical point about the divide between the Shah’s supporters and the MEK’s NCRI group, saying, “They really need to work together if the Iranian people are going to rise up and do a regime change on their own.” He’s right—regime change must come from the Iranian people, not the CIA or Israel. “We should not be involved in any regime change.”
But here’s where my concern grows. President Trump was in the Situation Room today with his advisors, and we don’t know what’s coming next. Colonel Maness, who’s been in high-level Pentagon rooms and helped write the black book for the nuclear football, surmised that the president, vice president, secretary of defense, joint chiefs, and Central Command would be hashing out scenarios. With three U.S. aircraft carriers now in the region, including the Nimitz pulled from the Pacific—a move that “leaves us weak in the face of China”—I’m worried we’re inching closer to involvement. China’s flexing with two carrier groups east of Taiwan, acting like “the global hegemon.” This is a dangerous game, and America must stay focused on our interests.
Then there’s this cryptic statement from Israel’s ambassador to Washington, hinting at a “big surprise” Thursday or Friday that’ll make the pager attacks look “simple.” Colonel Maness cautioned, “When anything in a war is said publicly like that, you’ve got to take it with a grain of salt.” But he believes President Trump is playing hardball, telling Iran’s mullahs, “You will unconditional surrender or hell is going to be unleashed on you to finish this job.” Reports of Iranian government planes, including the president’s, fleeing to Qatar suggest the regime is rattled. Trump’s not stopping Israel, and he shouldn’t. “Let Israel do it.”
Folks, we’re at a crossroads. Israel’s strength is undeniable, and their success could reshape the Middle East and fulfill prophecy. But America must stay out of the fray to protect our people and our economy, especially with China watching. The Iranian people deserve freedom, but it’s their fight, not ours. As I said on the broadcast, “I think it’d be great for America if we stay at it.” Let’s pray for wisdom for President Trump, strength for Israel, and courage for the Iranian people. And let’s keep our eyes on the Scriptures, because God’s plan is unfolding.
