I've been warning for years about the deep state's grip on our nation, the erosion of trust in institutions, and the biblical prophecies that seem to be unfolding before our eyes. In a recent interview on my show, I sat down with Mark Mitchell, the lead pollster at Rasmussen Reports, to dissect the alarming drop in President Trump's approval ratings just months into his second term. What we uncovered is a perfect storm of unforced errors, public outrage over the Epstein files, and a society teetering on the edge of what historians call the "Fourth Turning"—a cycle of crisis that could reshape America in ways that align disturbingly with end-times prophecies.Mark Mitchell, who will be a keynote speaker at our upcoming 22nd Annual Worldview Weekend National Conference in Collierville, Tennessee (details at worldviewstore.com—only 350 seats available!), didn't mince words. Despite Trump signing his signature legislation—a massive bill touted as the biggest of his second term—his approval rating has imploded. Three and a half weeks ago, Trump was net plus eight; now, it's negative four, just one point shy of his lowest this cycle. As Mark put it, "His numbers should be soaring right now." Instead, they're tanking, and this could spell disaster for Republicans in the 2026 midterms. At the heart of this slide is the Epstein scandal, which Mark described as Trump's potential "Afghanistan"—a self-inflicted wound that's eroding trust faster than anything we've seen. Rasmussen's latest polling is damning: 57% of voters are following the Epstein case closely, 47% believe he was murdered (only 31% say suicide), and a staggering 56% don't buy the FBI and DOJ's conclusion that Epstein committed suicide and kept no client list. Only 21% trust the official narrative, with Republicans at just 27% and independents at a dismal 15%.Even more telling: 68% of voters say powerful offenders need to face justice, compared to just 16% who think the case is closed. As Mark emphasized, "Two-tiered justice is the problem here." Voters aren't fooled by the gaslighting from influencers like Ben Shapiro, who dismiss it as irrelevant. This isn't about old polls from months ago when people hoped Trump would deliver accountability—it's about the here and now, where Americans feel betrayed by the administration's handling of the files.I played fresh audio from President Trump on the South Lawn, where he called the files "made up by Comey, Obama, and Biden" but left release decisions to Attorney General Pam Bondi, saying, "Whatever she thinks is credible, she should release." Mark's response? It's moving goalposts. Americans don't want graphic videos; they want investigations and indictments. "That's how you restore trust," he said. Without it, this could morph into a new Russia hoax, with Democrats forming sham committees to hammer Trump. From my Christian worldview, this reeks of thebiblical warning in Proverbs 29:2: "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan." The Epstein saga exposes a rotten elite class preying on the vulnerable, and if Trump doesn't act, it could accelerate the very tyranny we've fought against.Mark and I delved into the "Fourth Turning," a theory from historians William Strauss and Neil Howe that societies cycle through eras of high order, awakening, unraveling, and crisis every 80-100 years. We're in the unraveling phase now—low institutional trust (only 30% trust the federal government), wealth inequality, family breakdown, and a hollowed-out middle class. The demand for order is sky-high: 94% say two-tiered justice matters, over 60% see the DOJ as weaponized like in a banana republic. But as Mark noted, fourth turnings erupt from crises that force unity and reform, like World War II. Today's triggers? Economic collapse, World War III with Russia, or another engineered pandemic. Out of this vacuum, new values and institutions emerge—often filled by a strongman leader promising order. This hits home through my lens of Bible prophecy. In Thessalonians, we're warned of a "strong delusion" where people believe the lie because they delighted in wickedness (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12). Could this be setting the stage for the Antichrist, a figure promising false peace amid global chaos (Daniel 8:25)? Or, as I've discussed with technocracy expert Patrick Wood, might AI be the "third option" Peter Thiel hinted at—bypassing corrupt humans for an "impartial" system of biometrics, chipping, and control? Either way, it smells like the Mark of the Beast (Revelation 13:16-18).Mark speculated that Trump's second term feels like a "last chance" to fix things without catastrophe. If it fails—say, Democrats retake the House and Senate, nuke the filibuster, and impeach Trump—J.D. Vance could ascend, symbolizing millennial leadership. But failure might spark rapid change, strife, or even secession talks as states reject federal overreach.Mark offered some hope: foreign investment is surging under Trump, consumer confidence is high, and polls show younger voters shifting conservative. But the 2026 midterms loom as an "existential" battle. If Epstein hangs like an albatross, draining Trump's capital, we could see Democrats weaponize it against him.As Christians, we're called to discern the times (Matthew 16:3) and stand firm. Don't despair—pray, prepare, and engage. Join us at the Worldview Weekend Conference to hear Mark Mitchell live and equip yourself for what's ahead (worldviewstore.com). Follow him on X at @HonestPollster and check RasmussenReports.com for unfiltered data. The stage is set for biblical fulfillment. Will we heed the warnings, or chase delusions? Stay vigilant, friends—our republic and faith depend on it.
