Folks, we’re at a critical juncture, with Iran’s regime reeling and the specter of terrorism looming over America. On today’s Brannon Howse Live, I was joined by Colonel Rob Maness, host of a daily show on WorldviewTube, to unpack the latest developments in the Israel-Iran conflict and the growing threat of terror cells here at home. As I said on the broadcast, “We all know what happened over the weekend,” and with Iran’s weak response to U.S. bases, we must stay vigilant. “I don’t trust the Iranians as far as I can spit them,” Colonel Maness warned, and neither should we. Here’s the latest and why America must prepare.
This weekend, Iran launched rockets at a U.S. base, but they were knocked down. President Trump called it a “weak response,” tweeting about “world peace” after a call from Qatar relaying Iran’s claim they’re “not targeting specifically occupied spaces” to “preserve our opportunity for peace.” But Colonel Maness, with decades of experience fighting Iran’s proxies, isn’t buying it. “I don’t trust them as far as I could spit them,” he said, citing losses from Iran’s actions in Iraq. He warned, “They just may be trying to pay us back with another deception operation.” Iran’s move could be a ruse to “make everybody think Iran took its punches… but reality is they’re about to hit big time somewhere we never expect.” Their history—killing over 200 Marines in Beirut in 1983—shows their capacity for treachery.
Colonel Maness praised the U.S. and Israel’s “greatest deception operation” with B-2 bombers, achieving “tactical surprise” against Iran. But the threat persists. I raised a chilling possibility: “What if… some other actor… says, this would be a great time to carry out a terrorist attack and blame it on Iran?” With Trump vowing a massive response if Iran harms Americans, adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), North Korea, or cartels could stage a false flag. “The CCP is in a declared people’s war against us,” Maness said, noting their “unrestricted warfare” through land purchases, bio labs, and military-age males crossing our borders. “They’re not here to be Americans for sure,” he warned, citing 458 Iranians released into the U.S. during Biden’s years.
The July 4th holiday is a prime concern. “I’m particularly concerned… about the soft targets of big fireworks displays,” I said, noting the noise could mask an attack. “It would be very difficult… for authorities to figure out what’s happening.” Maness agreed, urging Americans to exercise “Second Amendment rights to the maximum extent of the law” and demand Congress repeal restrictive gun laws. “Every law that restricts me from… carrying a firearm… should be repealed,” he declared. “My head’s going to be on a swivel” this July 4th, looking for threats. I echoed, “I’m really praying for our country… It seems dangerous, but we’re going to pray nothing happens.”
Past warnings underscore the stakes. Todd Bensman, now a senior advisor to Border Czar Tom Homan, warned in 2007 about Iran’s push into Nicaragua and in 2018 about Hezbollah’s Unit 910, an assassination squad targeting U.S. critics. “We’ve been talking about… terror cells… for years,” Maness said, frustrated it took Kristi Noem’s recent Q&A to elevate the issue. Kash Patel’s acknowledgment is a start, but “we need to be paying attention,” Maness stressed. A church bombing in Syria, killing 25, raises fears of foreign-backed attacks. “Let’s pray we don’t see any of that here,” I urged.
