## Highlights from My Revelation Study: The Battle of Armageddon
We've just wrapped up Lesson 46 on Revelation Chapter 19—the Second Coming and the Battle of Armageddon. If you missed it, head to the site now. Let's dive into one fascinating example that ties ancient prophecy to today.
In Revelation 19:17-18, John describes an angel calling birds to feast on the carcasses of those slain at Armageddon: "Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, 'Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men...'" This isn't the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (that's for believers in verse 9). This is God's judgment supper, where millions aligned with the Antichrist are destroyed by the Word of God Himself—Jesus, the King of Kings, returning on a white horse with saints in tow.
The blood flows up to the horses' bridles for 180 miles (Revelation 14:20), like a winepress of God's wrath. But who cleans up the mess? The birds. Cross-reference Ezekiel 39:17-20 (Gog and Magog war) and Matthew 24:27-28, where Jesus says, "For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together."
Connecting Prophecy to Current Events: Birds, Temples, and More
Here's where it gets intriguing: Is the stage already being set? Research shows more than 500 million birds migrate through the Middle East twice a year, in autumn and spring. That's a massive cleanup crew ready for Armageddon's aftermath. Coincidence? Or divine preparation?
We're seeing other signs too. Nations like those in Ezekiel 38-39 (Gog-Magog) are aligning militarily and economically for the first time in history. Social credit scores and digital currencies hint at the Mark of the Beast system (Revelation 13). Israel, reborn in 1948 as prophesied, is a mighty military force, exporting fruit from blooming deserts (Isaiah 35:1, Ezekiel 36:35).
And the Third Temple? Jews in unbelief are pursuing it, needing red heifer ashes for purification (Numbers 19). I interviewed Byron Stinson recently—he shipped five perfect red heifers to Israel, and reports say one yielded 10 gallons of ashes. Debates rage, but the pursuit itself fulfills prophecy: a temple for the Abomination of Desolation (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, Revelation 13).
A Call to Evangelism: Time Is Short
These aren't scare tactics—they're wake-up calls. Past prophecies (Daniel's empires, Israel's rebirth) prove the Bible's accuracy 100%. If fulfilled prophecies validate Scripture's supernatural origin, future ones demand action. Share the Gospel! Trust in Jesus' death and resurrection for salvation. Don't let loved ones face Tribulation horrors.
